About Me

I am currently a senior in high school and have grown up in Colorado. My academic interests are primarily STEM-based, with a focus on physics and computer science—particularly in relation to the rising field of quantum computing. I have been dancing since the age of three, and I currently train with two companies in addition to teaching dance myself!

During my junior year, I took a year-long quantum computing course outside of school. This course included learning the fundamental linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and Python skills needed for this discipline. At the end of the year, I also completed a capstone project exploring the potential applications of quantum computing in neuroscience. Additionally, this course led to a summer internship with Professor Gong at the Colorado School of Mines, where I recreated code for a two-qubit quantum gate optimization using machine learning algorithms and basic calculus concepts. I then generalized the code for the purpose of finding the theoretical speed limit for three-qubit quantum gates. I have also completed projects in various coding languages including Python, R, and Java, and utilized HTML and CSS to create this website myself! Moreover, I use many web applications to keyword and effectively manage content in my file management position for the photography business Andrews Artistry.

Dance is another integral part of my life. I was a competitive dancer for ten years; however, at the end of my sophomore year, I decided to transition into working with dance companies—both in a pre-professional and professional capacity—rather than continue with my competition studio. I am a member of Davis Dance Next Gen, a pre-professional company under Davis Contemporary Dance, and have recently been promoted from apprentice to company member for the professional tap company Rocky Moutain Rhythm. While tap is my favorite style of dance, I also do contemporary, lyrical, jazz, and ballet. In addition to the companies I train with, I also teach dance at Miss Rachel's Dance in Denver.

Linked at the top of the website are a variety of dance pieces, as well as coding projects written in different languages for disciplines such as data analysis, physics, and chemistry. I also included some writing from my college English class since communication and clarity of ideas play an essential role, especially in STEM fields. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
